Join over 750 Energy Ministers, Business Leaders, Global Financiers and Top NGOs at the Sustainable Innovation Forum 2015.
Having received over 4000 pre-registrations, this week registration for SIF15 is officially opened to the public.
The Sustainable Innovation Forum takes place on the 7th and 8th of December at Stade de France, just outside of the La Bourget area, Paris. Now in its 6th year and hosted by Climate Action and the UNEP, SIF15 is endorsed by the host country and organiser of COP21, the French Government.
The forum is the largest business focused event taking place during the COP, uniting 750 global delegates from public and private sector organisations to catalyse the partnerships needed to accelerate low carbon development solutions.
This year’s agenda topics have been carefully crafted by our Advisory Board of cross-industry leaders, ensuring that the content is of the highest calibre and reflects the latest trends in the low carbon innovation space. Session topics include carbon markets and pricing, urban mobility, sustainable landscape management, the circular economy and innovation for business advantage.
With over 40 speakers already confirmed, we are proud to be welcoming some of the leading organisations in the space. Achim Steiner, Undersecretary- General of the UN and Executive Director of UNEP will open the Forum, defining UNEP’s hopes around a COP21 agreement and how these will fit within and enhance actions defined within the Sustainable Development Goals.
Glen Schmidt of the BMW Group will lead a panel that explores the challenges of mainstreaming sustainable urban mobility- from making car sharing simple and attractive to funding charging infrastructure.
Wayne Sharpe, Founder and Chairman of Carbon Trade Exchange will join the Environment Minister for New Zealand and CFO of Vattenfall to discuss the role of carbon pricing in spurring business action on climate change, and how best to navigate emerging global markets.
Dean A. Scarborough, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Avery Dennison Corporation will also be sharing his experience of implementing a circular economy model within a Fortune 500 company, adjusting each supply chain element to save energy, money and resources.
Other speakers also include Tine Sundtoft, Minister of Climate and Environment of Norway; Manuel Pulgar-Vidal, Minister of Environment of Peru; Maria Helena Semedo, Deputy Director General, Food & Agriculture Organisation UN (FAO); Marco Lambertini, Director General of WWF International and Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson, President of Iceland.
For the last 5 years SIF had acted as a platform on which business leaders have communicated vision, demonstrated leadership and made announcements on their latest sustainability focused initiatives.
